Lately, I've noticed that my gums bleed when I brush my teeth. Could I have gum disease?
Gums that bleed during brushing may indicate gum disease and should be checked out promptly. If you don't have gum disease, you may still experience bleeding gums if you are using a toothbrush with bristles that are too firm or if you are brushing your teeth too vigorously.
Call Kirkland dentist, Dr. Jen Kim, today for an appointment. We will review your brushing habits and techniques to find ways to improve them. If we find that you do in fact have gum disease, we will work with you to bring your gums back to a healthy condition.
