Dr. Jen Kim, DDS
Kirkland, WA Family and Cosmetic Dentist

How can you help improve the shape of my teeth?

At Jen Kim Family Dentistry, we believe our patients deserve choices to fit their unique needs. Because of cosmetic dentistry in kirkland waadvances and improvements in dental materials and techniques, we can offer numerous options for Kirkland patients who want to improve the shape of their teeth.

If you have one or more teeth that are poorly shaped or sized, cosmetic dentistry has the treatment you need to get the beautiful smile you want.

Dental bonding uses a tooth-colored composite filling material to alter the shape or size of a tooth to improve its appearance. Dr. Kim uses the material to build up portions of the tooth to achieve the look you want. We also often use bonding to close gaps between teeth and repair chipped or broken teeth. The procedure is so efficient that we can often treat several teeth during one appointment.

Porcelain veneers are a great option if you would like to change the appearance of your teeth to conceal cosmetic dental flaws. Dental veneers are thin shells of tooth-shaped porcelain that our cosmetic dentist customizes to sit on the front surfaces of two or more teeth. The veneers conceal create a new tooth surface that allows us to completely change the shape and size of your teeth.

Porcelain dental crowns are not often thought to be cosmetic, but since they completely surround and conceal a tooth, Dr. Kim also uses them for aesthetic purposes. Some examples would be to disguise a tooth that’s poorly shaped or one that’s discolored and resistant to whitening treatment.
